“ 　今のプロレスを見たってそうだよ。力道山が空手チョップで敵役のレスラーを張り倒していた頃には、プロレスの技術は低くても、今とは比べものにならないくらいの国民的な人気があったワケだよ。だけど、最近じゃいろんなプロレス団体が、アクロバットみたいなことをやったり、WWEみたいなドラマ仕立てのショーをやったり工夫してるけど、戦後の頃の客入りにはゼンゼンかなわない。まさに｢成熟はブームの終わり｣で、すべてのエンターテインメントってのは、技術が上がれば上がるほど食えなくなるという矛盾と戦っていくしかないんだよな。
